Our History

Founded in 2016 and formally registered with the Department of Social Services, Utu Bora CBO is committed to promoting social justice, women's rights, and gender equity in Vihiga County.

The organization is led by women and works primarily in rural communities where GBV, poverty, and exclusion remain major challenges. Utu Bora operates a Social Justice Centre that provides psychosocial support, legal aid referrals, community sensitization, and rescue services for survivors of GBV and other rights violations.
